Child Safety Gate Keeps Kids out of Dangerous Areas

I know what you might be thinking right now. The truth of the matter is, I thought about the same thing when I first saw these kinds of pictures. Why does that child safety gate make it seem that the child is restricted and, in a sense, behind bars? Is it healthy to provide a child with such a restrictive type of environment?

The thing is, child safety gates are not meant to lock children away, but to keep them safely away from dangerous areas. You do not want a kid crawling into a kitchen and getting themselves hurt so it is necessary to restrict that access. It is in love and care for them that they are used.
