Child Internet Safety, Utah Paving the Way.

In an article from the Salt Lake Tribune, written by R. Orellana, the state of Utah has more computers per capita than any other state. For that reason, Entertainment Software Association has sponsored a new pilot program. The pilot program is called Web Wise Kids. Essentially, Entertainment Software Association distributed their Internet safety computer games to the Jordan, Granite, Slat Lake, Murry, and Alpine school districts in Utah.
Entertainment Software Association is also training teachers how to use and then train other on the games. The goal of the program is to teach high school students the real dangers on the Internet. The game includes simulations based on real criminal cases assisting the kids to learn how to be safe online. As one would imagine, the program is getting a lot of attention and rave reviews.
